Terms and conditions
Vulcano Tekking
These general conditions govern solely and exclusively the use by the visitor (hereinafter USER) of the website https://vulcanotrekking.com (hereinafter WEBSITE), owned by VULKANO TREKKING with fiscal address at CALLE REAL 33B, ESCALERA 1, PUERTA 4, ANTIGUA, Las Palmas, CP: 35630, with Tax ID: 45863248Y, registered in the tourist registry of the Government of the Canary Islands, represented by Mr Omar Reyes Castro with ID: 45863248Y and with registered Trade Name: No. 469,857
Access to the VULKANO TREKKING WEBSITE implies unreserved acceptance of these General Conditions of Use, which the USER affirms to fully understand. When the client accepts the conditions of the contract, they do so with full knowledge that any activity in nature may involve unforeseen changes to the programme of the event, and therefore accepts under their sole and entire responsibility the possible consequences that may arise as a result of such changes. After the start of the activity/experience, VULKANO TREKKING reserves the right to alter, change or omit without prior notice any part of the itinerary, means of transport, etc. for logistical, climatological or security reasons or due to circumstances beyond its responsibility.
- ACCEPTANCE OF THE GENERAL AND PARTICULAR CONDITIONS
The contracting of any activity/experience, either directly through the WEBSITE and the TuriTop integrated software or booking engine, implies the acceptance of each and every one of the General Conditions. Thus, at the time of contracting the activity/experience, the client must accept these General Conditions.
That, on the part of Vulcano Trekking, I have been informed, in advance, of the route, which runs mainly through open-air places, as well as the main incidents that we may encounter on these paths. Therefore, I am aware of and assume the risks inherent to hiking in general, as well as the risks involved in the activity that I am going to carry out. I also understand that all sporting activities carried out in the natural environment involve an element of risk. Carrying out the activities accompanied by a local expert means that the activity is carried out with a ‘controlled risk’, however, there is no such thing as zero risk in these activities.
The activities depend on the weather conditions, the terrain and the people taking part. Any significant change in any of these factors may result in the MODIFICATION or SUSPENSION of the activity at the discretion of the guide.
- PRICES
The services included in the final price of the activity/experience are indicated in the detailed technical sheet on the website. The final price does not include indirect taxes (IGIC) because it is an ‘operation exempt from IGIC by tax exemption’, according to art. 10.1.28 of Law 20/1991, of 7 June, modifying the fiscal aspects of the Canary Islands Fiscal Economic Regime.
- BOOKING PROCEDURES
- You can book an activity/experience that is published on the WEBSITE and the TuriTop integrated booking software or engine by filling in the necessary fields.
- Via email and social networks such as Instagram, WhatsApp or LinkedIn.

- CANCELLATION POLICY
The cancellation of a booking by the client, prior to its confirmation, does not incur any cost.
In case of cancellation of the activity/experience, once the booking has been confirmed, the client is entitled to a refund, with prior notice:
Up to 24 hours before the start of the activity, 100% of the amount of the activity/experience.
24 hours before the start of the activity, the total amount of the activity/experience is forfeited.
The contact details for requesting cancellation and reimbursement are: vulcanotrekking@gmail.com and +34 608098383.
In any case, if the client has contracted any independent services provided by third parties (such as transport, other excursions or visits) that are not included on the VULKANO TREKKING website, the client will be responsible for managing any issues related to the cancellation of the contracted services.
VULKANO TREKKING will not be obliged to compensate the client in the following cases:
- When the cancellation of the activity/experience is due to force majeure, understood as abnormal and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the party invoking it, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with due diligence.
In no case shall the independent services provided by third parties, therefore not included in the activity/experience offered by VULKANO TREKKING, contracted directly by the client
In the event that the client voluntarily chooses to abandon the activity/experience.
- VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL FROM THE CONTRACTED SERVICES
In the event that the client voluntarily chooses to abandon the activity/experience, they will be obliged to give the guide a signed document declaring their voluntary decision to withdraw.
In any case, the delivery of said document cannot guarantee the immediate abandonment of the activity/experience and this will be subject to factors such as weather conditions or the availability of adequate means of transport.
The costs generated by the voluntary abandonment of the event for any reason other than accident, illness or some kind of discomfort will be at the expense and risk of the client, whatever the nature of said costs (transport, accommodation, etc.).
- CANCELLATION/CHANGES BY VULKANO TREKKING
VULKANO TREKKING undertakes to provide its clients with all the contracted services under the stipulated conditions and characteristics. In the event that, prior to the start date of the activity/experience, VULKANO TREKKING is forced to cancel or significantly modify any aspect of the activity/experience, including the price, VULKANO TREKKING shall immediately notify the client.
In such an event, and unless the parties agree otherwise, the client may choose to:
- Terminate the contract without penalty.
- In the case of rescheduleable and/or periodic activities, the participant may be offered an alternative date depending on the needs and availability of VULKANO TREKKING.
We reserve the right to alter or cancel all or part of the excursion/experience in the event of events beyond the control of VULKANO TREKKING. Reasons for doing so may include, but are not limited to, such matters of force majeure, extreme adverse weather conditions or weather warnings, natural disasters, strikes or civil unrest, terrorist activities, fires, floods and the like. Cancellations due to force majeure will NOT result in a refund.
Under no circumstances can VULKANO TREKKING be held responsible for weather conditions. We accept no responsibility for weather conditions that may affect the delivery and implementation of our itinerary.
Exceptionally, 100% of your booking will be refunded in the following cases:
There is not a minimum of 2 people to carry out the activity.
- Weather warnings or emergency declarations from the Government of the Canary Islands or AEMET.
- RIGHT OF ADMISSION
VULKANO TREKKING reserves the right to refuse admission or participation in an activity/experience, even once it has begun, to those persons whose inadequate physical condition, lack of equipment, inappropriate clothing or technical training prevents the normal development of the activity or endangers their physical integrity, that of the other participants or that of the guide/person in charge/companion of the activity.
Those under 9 years of age and over 69 years of age may NOT take part in the activities, as the civil liability, rescue and accident insurance will not cover any damage.
- TRANSPORT CONTRACTED TO THIRD PARTIES
Only in some cases, the transport included in the price of the activity/experience is indicated in the detailed programme. In general, the transport included is all the transport needed between the start and end points of the activity/experience.
In the event that the client requires transport not included in the detailed programme, VULKANO TREKKING will not be held responsible.
- OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLIENT
All clients, without exception, must carry their original and valid personal documentation with them. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
You must inform us in writing of any medical condition that requires attention or medication before your activity/experience begins.
By booking with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any damage or loss must be paid directly to the owner at the time. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for settling any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions.
VULKANO TREKKING is not responsible and declines any responsibility for the loss of personal/rented items on its tours, even if they are left in the vehicle and suffer theft.
That, on the part of VULKANO TREKKING, I have been informed, previously, that participants must have the necessary clothing, footwear and equipment for the activity to take place comfortably and safely. This equipment includes:
- Suitable footwear for the countryside, lightweight but resistant with a good grip sole and sufficient foot protection.
- Warm or waterproof clothing appropriate for the expected weather.
- Cap or hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.
- Mobile phone (emergency phone number 112).
- Water and some food.
The client expressly states that they are physically prepared to carry out this activity, are in good general health, and do not suffer from any illness, physical impediment or injury that may be aggravated by their participation in this activity. Therefore, they do not suffer from any illness or physical or psychological limitation that would incapacitate them or make it difficult for them to carry out the planned activities to any degree or put their own life at risk. In any case, if they suffer from any ailment, allergy or significant illness, they are responsible for following medical prescriptions in this regard, administering the indicated medication and for the risks that participating in this activity may have for them. If during the walk they suffer any type of injury or any other circumstance that could seriously harm their health, they undertake to inform those responsible immediately.
Furthermore, the client is aware that this type of hike, taking place in a rural environment, often in places that are difficult to access, carries an additional risk for the participants. Therefore, I assume that this risk may cause accidents that result in very serious injuries which may be life-threatening. For this reason, I declare that I am attending of my own free will and initiative, fully assuming the risks and consequences arising from my participation.
When travelling through the terrain, participants will take extreme precautions to avoid accidents, always following the instructions of those in charge (especially when they expressly limit the places where they can pass), observing prudent behaviour at all times. Special attention should be paid to escarpments in the terrain, to loose rocks underfoot and to those that may detach from the slopes.
When travelling on foot along roads or paths, it will be the responsibility of each participant to observe the rules prescribed by the highway code, to walk on the left, to walk off the road or on the hard shoulder whenever possible, to pay attention to passing vehicles and to wear a reflective vest if they have one.
I undertake to be careful with the flora, fauna and gea of the place. Not being able to collect samples from the site.
- SUPERVISOR AND SAFETY MEASURES
VULKANO TREKKING guides are qualified professionals with the theoretical and technical knowledge necessary to carry out the activity or activities to be carried out during the activity/experience contracted by the client. The main task of the guide is to bring the event to a successful conclusion and to ensure the safety of all participants. In this sense, although all opinions on situations that arise during the course of the event will be valued, it is the guide who will be responsible for making the final decisions on any issue that affects the functioning or safety of the participants.
If the client's failure to heed the guide's instructions implies an obvious risk to the whole group, to any of its members or to the client him/herself, the client will be fully responsible for any possible consequences.
The guide will have the power to request the evacuation of a client for reasons of illness, accident or for any other reason that compromises the safety of the group or of the client him/herself. In this case, the client may not claim a refund, either total or partial, of the price of the activity/experience from VULKANO TREKKING.
Participants must comply with the following safety measures during the activity:
- Follow all instructions from the guide at all times.
- Always stay with the group (do not separate) and avoid leaving the trail or path.
Do not take any action that has not been previously supervised by the guide.
Inform the guide of any personal problem or difficulty that may arise during the activity.
- PHOTOGRAPHIC/VIDEO FILES
VULKANO TREKKING will be the owner of the photographic/video files generated during the activities/experiences organised by it. These may be used on its website or in any other medium, to promote or sell its events to third parties or for any other purpose it deems appropriate. The client's non-acceptance of this condition must be communicated in writing to VULKANO TREKKING.
- USE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC FILES TRANSFERRED TO VULKANO TREKKING BY THE CLIENT
VULKANO TREKKING undertakes to respect the property rights of the photographic archives that the client transfers to it with the aim of being used on its website or in any other medium, to promote or sell its events to third parties or for any other purpose it deems appropriate. It also undertakes not to transfer these archives or any type of total or partial reproduction to third parties.

Please note the following:
Insurance does NOT cover people under 9 or over 69 years of age.
Medical Assistance Insurance only provides cover for injuries or accidents that take place during the activity (it is not valid for incidents that may arise when travelling to the place where the activity takes place before or after it).
